Biodata
Obtained his PhD in Latin American Studies from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, under the guidance of Enrique Dussel, with whom he worked for several decades. He has been a professor at various universities for over 25 years. He is the author, co-author, compiler, and editor of several books on literature, history, and philosophy. For many years, he has organized international events as a member of the Asociación de Filosofía y Liberación (AFyL), which he co-founded with Dussel, and the Asociación Filosófica de México (AFM). He is a member of the Instituto Nacional de Formación Política and the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Alongside Dussel, he started a project to publish compilations on the aesthetics of liberation; this led to "Para una estética de la liberación decolonial" and a second volume parallel to Enrique Dussel's Definitive Aesthetics will soon be released.
