Abstract
This essay is a short response to my experience in the field, working with Syrian refugees in Turkey. My aim is to put together, in a rather informative way, theory and practice within gender studies feminist criticism in how gender policies actually target women in conflict contexts. More than a record of experiences in the field, this essay is an intellectual exercise and a space for contemplation.
